A couple months back I photographed one of my favorite local hot spots for their new website. I've been going to Five Leaves since it opened years ago. This restaurant has quite the scene, located right at the tip of McCarren park that connects Brooklyn neighborhoods Williamsburg and Greenpoint. The interior is great with a nautical inspired themed, the food delicious and consistant. Dining outside if the best place to people watch. Have a look at their new site and be sure to check it out if you haven't. My only recommendation is try to go early, they are always packed. Open breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also visit Nights & Weekends one of their other venues across the street.

  13. I love this post! I make the Five Leaves recipe (for beets, blood oranges, arugula and macadamia nut salad) from The New Brooklyn Cookbook a few times a year. This post had me wishing I had more of their recipes to make :) Lovely photographs, as usual!.

  14. Besides the beautiful compositions, something I love about your photos is how sharp and crisp they are no matter the location or subject. What is the most important feature to achieve something similar, is it the choice of lens, light, settings?

  15. what a great place! shame it is so far but I would love to sit on that terrace and taste the chioggia beet salad, looks yum! I also wanted to tell you that your photos are always so sharp, with perfect vibrant colors. Do you use a special lens or filter? Always such a joy to read your posts! (Iris @ The Yummyblogsisters)
