It had been too long. A much needed visit with one of my oldest friends. A train ride up the Hudson, on one very foggy morning. Visibility at a minimum, the occasional sneak peak of the mountains on the other side. Swans and ducks floating in a sea of white. Its not too often we get this type of fog around here. I loved it. Next post Cold Spring.

ReplyDeleteWhat amazing photographs. You can really tell why the hudson was an inspiration for painters back in the mid-nineteenth century when the hudson river school was around.

I absolutely love days like this--it evokes images in my mind of being hugged by a wool sweater, warming my hands around a steaming cup of coffee... gray days with a hint of the spooky about them are my favorite! Thanks so much for sharing these gorgeous photos!
