The husband and I celebrated his first Independence Day as a U.S. citizen. Watching the fireworks was extra-special this year.

I went to Lake George with some friends for the weekend and then watched the fireworks from my rooftop in UES. I took pictures of the beautiful sunset too:)
Nicole, your photos are powerful, beautiful and delicious! Looks like you had a great relaxing, festive weekend. We celebrated Canada Day on the 1st with a picnic by the water and then under pretty fireworks. Wish every weekend were like these huh! :)
your lovely pix (here & instagram!) brought back so many good memories of hanging out at the seaport waiting for those fireworks every year :) this post sums up the summers i miss.
These photos are so amazing - they conjure up so many emotions! I love New York and would love to experience Fourth of July celebrations there. The pic of the fireworks above Manhattan made me especially wistful ...
Have spent a week in NYC some 8 years ago... and have now found your blog and live vicariously through it! Thank you!
Gorgeous shots. <3 I love New York.
Love how you've captured the atmosphere in these photos! Have a lovely weekend Nicole!
Hi Nicole,Just came across your beautiful blog here through butterflyfood. You're awesome and your photos are so great. Amazing. You grew up in San Diego for a minute? Sounds like we have that in common, so did I. I also live in nyc now and with my fiance, and wow do I miss sd, california, and the beach! :) it's not the same here. I thought I'd say hi and tell you that you just brought me a little comfort in knowing that I'm not alone feeling the same way. Not a final destination nor a tropical island...but at peace for now haha. Comfort yes, hmpth. And that union square farmers market? I can assure you we must see each other in passing...either way, your food and photos are beautiful. Thank you and have a wonderful week!SB.
Wow, how beautiful are these pictures. Makes me want to relive 4th of July all over again!
